Spinach Basil Green Pesto


Use the veggies from your Freshly box for the ultimate results!

  • 1 handful of washed and dried leaf spinach
  • 50g of fresh washed and dried basil
  • 4 gloves garlic
  • salt
  • fresh pepper
  • fresh lemon juice
  • 50g parmesan cheese
  • Handful of pine nuts
  • Olive oil


  • In a pan on stove top roast pine nuts on low heat until golden brown for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove set aside and roast 4 cloves peeled garlic until golden brown.
  • In a food processor add spinach, basil, garlic, pine nuts, fresh pepper, salt, lemon, olive oil and parmesan cheese.
  • Blend until desired consistency is reached.

Used in pasta, salads, sea foods or a snack on crackers with Freshly’s cherry tomato’s and some more cheese.
