- Blanche tender-stem broccoli by bringing a large pot of water on medium heat to boil. Add a pinch of salt. Add tender stem broccoli and let boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove immediately from heat and run under cold water. Remove from water and set aside.
Option to skip this step and bake broccoli for 2-3 minutes coated with olive oil, sumac, salt and pepper.
- Add 2 tbsp of olive oil to a wok over medium heat. Add sliced garlic until lightly brown. Add tender-stems and saute for 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to overcook and leave tender-stems crispy. Season with sumac, salt and pepper. Add almonds and mix well for another minute.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with a squeeze of lemon. Mix well and serve immediately.
